Do you ever wonder what is inside those rustic wood sticks? It can be a flower, a leaf or just anything you can imagine!

Different types of wood grains, carving knives and the calluses on your hands…

In our wood carving workshop, you will make an object that can be of daily use. It can be a hair pin or a spoon hand-carved in natural wood. Our workshop which covers both theory and practice session will help you to create a final object from designing, carving, finishing and protecting.

1. Wood carving introduction, tools and types of wood

2. Carving on wood

3. Sanding, rubbing

4. Introduction to natural wood protection (safe for eating)

5. How to make wood wax and how to apply it to your item.

PARTICIPANTS: 

Any field or any level of practice is welcome - beginners/semi-professional/professional drawing practitioners. Anyone interested in learning a unique new skill!

LIVING SITUATION

▸ Accommodation: we provide simple accommodation in our traditional stilt house as a dorm with mattress, futon and mosquito net per pax. Toilets and shower rooms are next to the dorm with free organic toiletries set (*attention: all chemicals are banned)

▸ Meals: 3 meals per day will be provided with ingredients from our garden and the local market.

TUITION FEE
1,650,000VND (~ $66) per pax
*for your 2-day-1-night staying in our campus. The fee includes all food and drink during the course, accommodation, materials and instruction.
